What is this fabric?
Cotton is a natural fibre from the cotton plant, woven into a cool fabric that lets air through and absorbs moisture. It comes pure or blended with polyester so it creases less and lasts longer.

How to judge quality by eye and touch
- 100% cotton feels cool to the touch.
- The finer the yarn, the softer the feel.
- Pull the fabric with both hands: a good weave holds together and its threads do not part.
- If a manufacturing defect shows in the fabric before it is tailored, you may exchange it or return it.
Care and ironing
- Wash in water below 40°C, without too much detergent and without any bleach.
- Rinse well, do not tumble-dry, and dry in the shade.
- Iron between 110 and 140°C, never above 140°C.
- Natural coloured cotton fades gradually with repeated washing and heavy use.

Questions about this fabric
Does cotton crease or wrinkle?
Yes — the more cotton, the more it creases. Cotton blended with polyester creases less.
Does cotton shrink after washing?
Cotton may shrink after washing, so wash it below 40°C and ask the tailor when you order.
How much fabric do I need for a Saudi thobe?
It depends on the fabric width: 58 inches needs 3.25 m (3.57 yd); 44, 42 or 38 inches needs 4.5 m (5 yd).
