At our Al-Balad branch in historic Jeddah we offer ready-made Sudanese wear retail and wholesale: jalabiyas, ararig, sidiris, turbans and shawls, caps, trousers, the groom’s thobe and “Ala Allah”. In Japanese, Indian, Korean, Chinese and Swiss fabrics, with our own designs and cuts, from the factory to the consumer.

Whoever buys a jalabiya usually orders ararig and trousers with it, so we arrange the pieces together in the same fabric. We offer sizes for men, youths and children, in the same types.
When is the season?
The Sudanese-wear season starts from Shaaban and Ramadan and continues through Eid until the end of the Hajj season and families’ return to Sudan. We recommend buying early to find your size and fabric.

Common questions
What is the difference between the jalabiya, ararig, sidiri and turban?
The jalabiya is the outer Sudanese garment. Ararig is a light inner garment worn under it. The sidiri is a waistcoat with several pockets. The turban is the head covering.
Which fabric should I ask for?
The first thing our customers ask about is Swiss and Japanese fabric. Swiss is 100% cotton, and Japanese is among the fabrics that do not crease with washing and wear. Indian, Korean and Chinese fabrics are also available, and availability differs by branch.
Do you alter the size?
Ready-made clothes are not altered. If you want a piece in your size, Ramada Al-Raqi Tailoring on King Abdullah Road will tailor it for you.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes. The minimum wholesale quantity is 6 single pieces of an item. We supply 26 wholesale traders in Riyadh, Dammam, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Samtah and Buraidah, and we also supply Sudan.
Do you ship to other cities?
Yes, we ship within the Kingdom through companies that specialise in shipping goods between cities, with shipping at the customer’s cost.
Can I exchange or return?
Ready-made clothes can be exchanged or returned within 7 days of receipt, provided they are unused and unwashed with the tags. Details are on the exchange and returns policy page.
