What is this fabric?

Twill is a weave with diagonal lines at 45° across the fabric, as in jeans. Modern twill here is polyester (spun-filament twill) and differs from cotton twill.

Who is it for?

  • Long daily work
  • Anyone who wants a thobe that creases little

Available types

  • Sakura Plus twill 814

Japanese spun-filament twill in several colours.
  • Yamori twill 3000

    Japanese twill in several colours.
  • Ramada Miss 1530

Japanese-made striped weave with a natural look.
  • Spun-filament twill

A durable diagonal weave with a light sheen.

How to judge quality by eye and touch

  • Twill’s pattern runs diagonally at 45°, like denim; its softness is medium and it is thicker.
  • Pull the fabric with both hands: a good weave holds together and its threads do not part.
  • If a manufacturing defect shows in the fabric before it is tailored, you may exchange it or return it.

Care and ironing

  • Wash in water below 30°C, without too much detergent and without any bleach.
  • Rinse well to remove detergent residue.
  • Do not tumble-dry, so that no pilling forms; dry in the shade.
  • Iron at no more than 110°C.

Questions about this fabric

Does it crease or wrinkle?

Only a little — polyester creases less. The higher the cotton share in a fabric, the more it creases.

Does the fabric shrink after washing?

No. Shrinkage happens only in cotton, linen, ramie, rayon and fabrics with a high cotton content.

Does the colour fade with washing?

No, our fabrics hold their colour over the long term, except some coloured fabrics whose colour-fastness depends on how they were treated.
